A short description of the 5 courses which we work
with:
1. Golf-Club
an der Göhrde (30 minutes south
east of Bad Bevensen)
The golf complex is situated on a relatively flat
property with only some slight undulations. It is
surrounded by an old forest. A few strategically and
well placed water hazards and bunkers reward precision
on some holes. The course offers a wide variety of
holes which suits golfers of all ability. This
course was voted by Kiefernecks guests as the golf
course of the year 2005!
2. Golf
Complex Schloss Lüdersburg with two courses
(40 minutes north west)
This parkland course (with 40 holes) is situated approximately
12 kilometres north east of Lüneburg. The course
and its old manor estate are located on the one side
by the marshland—Elb-Marsch—with its fields
and streams and on the other side by a dry woodland
area. The courses have many water hazards and greens
with difficult approaches.
There are two championship courses with different
characteristics to choose from: Old Course –
a mature parkland course with a large number of natural
water hazards. Lakes Course – constructed as
a typical links course and designed by Nicklaus Design.
The course features interconnected lakes which add
to the natural surroundings and overall enjoyment.
3. Golfclub
Bad Bevensen (5 minutes from the hotel)
The course is well designed with strategically placed
bunkers and water hazards. 88 bunkers, including Irish
inspired “pot bunkers” challenge every
player. Half of the holes are located in a woodland
area which requires accuracy. The other half of the
course is located in a slightly undulated area.
4. Golf-Club
St. Dionys (40 minutes north west—near
Schloss Lüdersburg)
The course is located approximately 50 kilometres
south east of Hamburg in a large recreation area which
features a special moor landscape. On the 90 ha wave
undulated property the course offers a large variation
between firm heath landscape and pine and leave forests.
On account of the dry moor soil it is possible to
play year round at St. Dionys.
